As the company continues to expand its presence on Vancouver Island, they are looking for an experienced Electrical Site Foreperson to join their leadership team. Key Responsibilities
Site Operations & Project Delivery
- Lead day-to-day site operations and coordinate field crews.
- Plan and prioritize daily and weekly work activities to meet project schedules.
- Ensure labour, materials, tools, and equipment are utilized efficiently.
- Monitor production, productivity, and project progress.
- Collaborate closely with the Site Supervisor to achieve project milestones.
Safety & Quality - Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture on site.
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and participate in incident investigations.
- Oversee QA/QC processes to ensure work meets project specifications.
- Perform site inspections and verify completed work before turnover.
Leadership & Team Development - Supervise, mentor, and support electrical crews.
- Delegate work effectively while maintaining productivity and morale.
- Foster a respectful, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.
- Address performance concerns and support employee development.
- Promote accountability and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Client Relations & Administration - Act as a key point of contact between site operations, project leadership, and clients.
- Maintain daily site reports, production logs, and progress updates.
- Complete material take-offs, change order documentation, and quality reports.
- Track labour hours and maintain accurate timekeeping records.
- Assist with workforce planning and provide recommendations regarding staffing needs.
Project Scope - Commercial, Industrial & Institutional (ICI) construction
- Large-scale electrical installations
- Design-build projects
- Green energy and clean energy initiatives
- Retrofit and infrastructure projects
- National contractor with a growing Vancouver Island presence
What You Bring Required - Red Seal Electrician (or equivalent Certificate of Qualification).
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Journeyperson.
- Previous experience leading crews on commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and project execution.
- Excellent leadership, planning, delegation, and communication skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Nice to Have - First Aid Certification.
- Experience with contract interpretation and cost control.
- Knowledge of QA/QC programs and change order management.
- Experience managing large electrical construction projects.
Working Environment - Primarily site-based throughout Vancouver Island.
- Reporting directly to the Site Supervisor.
- Lead and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and project resources.
- Collaborative leadership team with strong operational support.
- Overtime and occasional after-hours availability may be required depending on project needs.
Compensation & Benefits - Salary: 110K to 135K - Depending on experience
