The Opportunity
Rightway Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and highly respected electrical contractor to find a Project Manager / Estimator for their Victoria team.

This role is ideal for an experienced Project Manager or Estimator who enjoys managing projects from tender through closeout while building lasting relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams. You'll play a key role in estimating, project execution, financial management, and client service on a diverse portfolio of projects across Vancouver Island.
 
Key Responsibilities Operations / Project Management

• Lead projects from estimating through final closeout
• Prepare competitive estimates and submit tenders
• Develop project schedules, procurement plans, and labour forecasts
• Monitor project progress, budgets, risks, and quality
• Conduct site visits and participate in project completion reviews

Business Development & Client Relations

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Identify new project and business opportunities
• Collaborate with consultants, suppliers, and general contractors
• Support successful project delivery through proactive communication

Team Leadership

• Coordinate with field supervisors and site teams
• Work closely with internal project stakeholders
• Provide direction throughout project execution
• Foster a collaborative and solution-focused team environment

Financial & Administrative

• Manage project budgets, billing, and forecasting
• Review contracts and identify potential commercial risks
• Process estimate revisions and change orders
• Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget

Project Scope

• Commercial, Institutional, and Residential electrical construction
• Projects located throughout Vancouver Island
• Full project lifecycle responsibility from tendering to closeout
• Electrical installations, upgrades, and tenant improvement projects

What You Bring
 
Required

• 3+ years of Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating experience
• Electrical Trade Certification, Electrical Engineering Degree, or Electrical Technologist Diploma
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

Nice to Have

• Experience with Accubid (Pro & Change Order)
• Proficiency with Procore, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams

Working Environment

• Based in Victoria with projects throughout Vancouver Island
• Combination of office and project site responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $85,000-$120,000 annually
