Rightway Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and respected electrical and technology contractor to find a Project Manager / Estimator - Structured Cabling for their Victoria team. This organization delivers innovative electrical and low-voltage solutions across commercial, institutional, and industrial projects throughout British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities Estimating & Pre-Construction

• Prepare accurate estimates for structured cabling and low-voltage projects.
• Review specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
• Price project changes and submit competitive bids.
• Assist with contract reviews and risk assessment.

Project Management

• Manage projects from award through closeout.
• Develop project schedules and monitor budgets.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, permits, and subcontractors.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Client & Site Coordination

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, vendors, and field teams.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and labour requirements.
• Maintain strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Administration

• Prepare project documentation, including QA/QC, safety, environmental, and startup packages.
• Monitor project financial performance and forecasting.
• Support procurement and purchasing activities.
• Work closely with field leadership to maintain safety standards.

Project Scope

• Commercial, institutional, and industrial construction projects.
• Structured cabling and low-voltage systems.
• Data and telecommunications infrastructure.
• IT and technology systems integration.
• End-to-end project delivery, from estimating through project completion.

What You Bring
Required

• Minimum 5 years of project management and/or estimating experience within structured cabling, telecommunications, or low-voltage systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of structured cabling products and installations.
• Experience with major manufacturer systems such as Corning, Belden, CommScope, or Panduit.
• Experience using estimating software such as Accubid.
• Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Electrical Trades Qualification (TQ) or related industry experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on large ICI construction projects.
• Contract administration experience.
• Knowledge of construction procurement and scheduling.

Working Environment

• Based in Victoria, BC.
• Combination of office and project site work.
• Regular collaboration with field teams, clients, consultants, and vendors.
• Reports into the Technology Division leadership team.
• Supported by experienced project, safety, and operations personnel.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $80,000-$100,000, based on experience.
