Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join their team and support a strong pipeline of upcoming work.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on across the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to closeout, and who thrives in a team that values accountability, communication, and practical delivery.
You will work closely with leadership, site teams, and clients, with the autonomy to manage your projects while being supported by an experienced and well-structured team.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to senior leadership, the Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for
- Managing multiple mechanical construction projects from start to finish
- Leading project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Chairing project meetings and providing regular progress updates
- Monitoring project costs, forecasting, and managing budgets
- Handling change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
- Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Overseeing procurement of materials and equipment
- Ensuring health & safety standards are met on all projects
- Supporting commissioning, turnover, and closeout processes
- Providing leadership and mentorship to junior team members
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager
- Strong background in HVAC and mechanical construction
- Experience managing commercial, institutional, or industrial projects
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders
- Solid understanding of construction contracts and documentation
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
Assets
- Engineering degree, technical diploma, or trade background
- PMP designation or equivalent
- Experience across a variety of project types
Work Environment & Conditions
- Full-time, permanent position
- Projects based across the Lower Mainland
- Mix of office and site-based work
- Overtime as required depending on project demands
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 base (depending on experience)
