Rightway Recruitment is currently partnering with Foster Heating & Cooling, one of Vancouver Island's longest-standing HVAC contractors serving the Island since 1928. Foster specializes in commercial, industrial, multi-family, and residential mechanical service work and has built a strong reputation throughout the region for quality workmanship, technical expertise, and long-term client relationships. With over 40 certified technicians, 2 locations and a rapidly expanding commercial service division, the company continues to expand aggressively throughout Vancouver Island.
Due to continued growth, Foster Heating & Cooling is looking to add a Service Estimator to their Victoria team. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the head of the service department and offers the opportunity to become a key contributor within a fast-paced and growing service department. The successful candidate will work closely with property managers, building owners, and internal service teams to quote repair and service work across commercial and residential facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Service Estimating & Project Coordination
- Prepare repair and service quotations for commercial and residential clients
- Review service requirements and coordinate scope details with technicians
- Direct price gathering, proposal preparation, and quote follow-ups
- Coordinate service-related documentation and client communication
- Support service operations through efficient estimate turnaround times
Client Relations & Business Development - Build and maintain relationships with property managers and building owners
- Conduct occasional site visits to review repair and service requirements
- Support ongoing growth within the commercial service division
- Identify opportunities for additional service work and client support
- Maintain a high level of customer service and responsiveness
Operations & Team Collaboration - Work closely with service leadership and technicians
- Coordinate internally to ensure smooth workflow between office and field teams
- Support overall department growth and operational efficiency
- Assist with prioritization of service opportunities and quotations
Project / Role Scope - Commercial, residential, and multi-family mechanical service work
- Repair-focused quotations and ongoing client service support
- Site visits across Vancouver Island
- Exposure to HVAC and mechanical service environments across Vancouver Island
- Supporting a busy and growing service department handling high quotation volumes
What You Bring - Experience within mechanical service, HVAC, construction, estimating, or service coordination
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to work
- Comfortable interacting with clients, technicians, and internal teams
- Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities
- Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Experience with quoting, estimating, or service sales is considered a strong asset
- Mechanical/HVAC industry exposure is preferred but not mandatory
Working Environment - Reporting directly to the head of the service department
- Office-based with the ability for hybrid work as necessary
- Collaborative office environment with strong internal support
- Working alongside a large team of experienced service technicians and operations staff
Compensation & Benefits - $60K to $70K base salary
- Performance-based bonus structure that is uncapped
- Initial variable compensation estimated to be $10K-$15K annually (however, is uncapped, with strong opportunities for growth)
- Quarterly bonus payouts
- Standard benefits package with 50% employer contribution through BCCA
- Company vehicle provided for site visits following onboarding period
