Rightway Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established mechanical contractor with a strong presence across British Columbia. The business has built an excellent reputation delivering complex mechanical construction projects across healthcare, institutional, commercial, and large-scale residential sectors, with a strong focus on quality, technical expertise, safety, and long-term client relationships.

Operating with a collaborative and solutions-driven approach, the company supports projects from pre-construction through to final turnover, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure successful delivery across all phases of construction. With continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are now looking to bring on a Senior Project Manager / Construction Manager to support major project operations across the Lower Mainland.

This is a leadership position suited to someone who can oversee large-scale mechanical scopes from both a project and operational perspective. The role goes beyond traditional project management responsibilities and requires someone capable of leading teams, driving project performance, mentoring staff, and contributing to the overall success and direction of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of mechanical construction projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Lead project planning, scheduling, procurement, execution, commissioning, and close-out activities
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, labour planning, procurement, and overall financial performance
• Work closely with field leadership, superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, consultants, and ownership groups
• Ensure all mechanical systems are installed in accordance with drawings, specifications, codes, and company standards
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining schedule and quality expectations
• Mentor and support Project Managers, Coordinators, and field teams across active projects
• Review contracts, scopes, schedules, and project deliverables to ensure successful execution
• Participate in strategic planning, operational improvements, and overall business growth initiatives
• Support ongoing improvements across project delivery, communication, and internal processes
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship

What You Bring

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Construction Project Management
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, construction methodologies, and applicable building codes
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and lead multiple teams simultaneously
• Experience overseeing budgets, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and labour planning
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, consultants, and internal teams
• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and field operations
• Proficiency with project scheduling and construction management software
• Leadership mindset with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff
• Organized, proactive, and solutions-focused approach to project delivery

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range of $130,000 – $160,000 depending on experience
