Rightway Recruitment is representing a well-established mechanical contractor in Burnaby delivering projects across commercial, institutional, and industrial (ICI) sectors throughout British Columbia.
The company provides services across HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, pumps, cooling tower retrofits, aquatherm systems, and building maintenance, working on projects including tenant improvements and commercial high-rise buildings.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join their team.
The Role The Mechanical Estimator will prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical construction projects ranging from $50K–$20M, working closely with the Senior Estimator, project managers, and general contractors.
You will review drawings and tender documents, perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam and Accubid, and help produce competitive bids across a variety of ICI and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam and Accubid
- Coordinate with project managers and internal teams
- Communicate with general contractors during bid stages
- Support bid strategy, scope clarification, and pricing reviews
- Monitor supplier pricing and market trends
- Assist with estimate revisions during negotiations
What You Bring - Experience as a Mechanical Estimator in commercial or ICI construction
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installation methods
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Accubid, or similar estimating software
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
Preferred Experience - Estimating across HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, or specialty systems
- Experience with high-rise or tenant improvement projects
- Familiarity with supplier pricing and subcontractor bid leveling
Work Environment - Full-time, permanent role
- Office-based in Burnaby

Compensation & Benefits - Salary: Up to $120,000 depending on experience
