Our client has built a strong reputation within the industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) construction market, delivering technically complex electrical projects with a practical, disciplined approach.

We are seeking an ICI Electrical Project Manager to take full ownership of project delivery, financial performance, and execution discipline. This role is suited to a commercially minded PM who understands that strong outcomes are driven by margin protection, labour control, and proactive risk management.
This is not a coordination-only role. You will be accountable for project profitability from award through close-out, working closely with field leadership, general contractors, and consultants to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own job budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and gross margin performance
- Track labour burn versus estimate and prepare accurate Cost-to-Complete (CTC) forecasts
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and contractual risk early
- Lead change order identification, pricing, submission, tracking, and billing
- Prepare clear, defensible change order narratives and manage CO aging
- Manage manpower loading, crew mix, and labour productivity
- Hold foremen accountable to production targets and intervene when inefficiencies arise
- Review schedules and look-ahead plans for financial and productivity impact
- Push back on unpriced schedule compression, stacking trades, and acceleration
- Maintain professional, well-documented communication with GCs and consultants
- Coordinate procurement and long-lead items to align with schedule and cash flow
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contract requirements
Required Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years ICI electrical project management experience
- Proven ability to protect or recover project margins
- Strong understanding of electrical labour productivity and crew performance
- Demonstrated success managing change orders and claims
- Experience with fast-track and/or design-assist projects
- Comfortable pushing back on GCs and consultants when required
- Strong Excel skills and experience with job-costing systems
