Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of electrical projects. This individual will play a key role in managing complex, high-value projects while ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The position is based out of Langley, with occasional site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget. Manage project schedules, resources, and subcontractors to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.
- Client Relations & Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors. Provide regular updates on project progress and handle client inquiries, ensuring a smooth project experience from start to finish.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Oversee and guide project teams, ensuring clear roles and responsibilities are defined. Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative and supportive team culture.
- Quality Control & Safety: Monitor all projects to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work meets all technical and safety requirements.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, track costs, and handle project change orders as needed. Provide financial oversight to ensure projects are completed within budget and optimize cost efficiency.
- Collaboration & Process Improvement: Work closely with the estimating team to review proposals, assess project requirements, and offer insight into best practices for improving project execution. Collaborate with internal teams to implement process improvements and increase overall efficiency.
- Documentation & Reporting: Ensure all necessary documentation, contracts, change orders, and progress reports are up to date. Coordinate project close-out and handover processes efficiently.
Skills and Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally in industrial electrical projects (data centers, medium voltage, large distribution).
- Previous experience working with unit subs, MV cabling, and distribution systems is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and subcontractors.
- Red Seal certification or similar electrical ticket is highly preferred, but not mandatory.
- PMP is considered an asset but not required.
- Experience with construction management software (Procore preferred).
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, including medium voltage, large-scale distribution, and industrial utilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various project sites when required.

Compensation: - Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year
