Overview A leading premium private healthcare group in Abu Dhabi is currently seeking an experienced Consultant Nephrologist to join its expanding multidisciplinary medical team.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nephrology services across inpatient, outpatient, and dialysis settings while working closely with transplant teams, intensivists, endocrinologists, cardiologists, and primary care physicians. This role offers the opportunity to work within a modern tertiary healthcare environment equipped with advanced renal replacement therapies and multidisciplinary clinical support.
Clinical Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Diagnose and manage:
  • Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
  • Acute Kidney Injury (AKI)
  • Glomerular diseases
  • Hypertension and renovascular disorders
  • Electrolyte and acid-base abnormalities
• Supervise haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis programmes
• Provide kidney transplant assessment and long-term post-transplant follow-up care
• Manage patients requiring renal replacement therapy
• Participate in multidisciplinary renal and transplant meetings
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice
• Support education and mentoring of junior medical staff

Requirements

• DOH or DHA Eligibility / Active UAE Licence preferred
• Recognised Consultant qualification in Nephrology
• Minimum 3–5 years post-specialist qualification experience
• Strong clinical, communication, and patient-centred care skills
• Experience within a tertiary or large private hospital setting preferred
• Dialysis programme and transplant follow-up experience highly desirable

Preferred Candidate Profile Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Western Board Certification, CCT, CCST, Australian/NZ Fellowship, Canadian Fellowship, or equivalent qualifications
• Extensive dialysis programme experience
• Kidney transplant service exposure
• Academic or teaching hospital background
• Existing UAE licensing or eligibility
• Immediate availability or short notice period
