Backed by significant investment and designed around international clinical, digital, and operational standards, this next-generation healthcare facility will incorporate advanced digital infrastructure, AI-enabled healthcare technologies, smart hospital systems, modern diagnostics, and world-class clinical standards.
This is a rare opportunity to join the Executive Leadership Team before opening and play a defining role in shaping the clinical vision, governance framework, physician culture, accreditation strategy, and operational foundations of one of Central Asia's most ambitious healthcare developments.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will help establish a hospital designed to become a regional centre of excellence for healthcare delivery.
The Opportunity
As Chief Medical Officer, you will provide executive leadership across all medical services and be responsible for:
Executive Medical Leadership
- Defining and executing the hospital's clinical strategy.
- Serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team.
- Advising the CEO and Board on all clinical and medical matters.
- Building a culture of clinical excellence, innovation, accountability, and patient-centred care.
Clinical Governance & Quality
- Establishing world-class clinical governance frameworks.
- Driving patient safety, quality improvement, and physician performance initiatives.
- Leading the development of medical policies, protocols, and standards.
- Supporting evidence-based practice and continuous improvement across all clinical services.
Physician Leadership & Workforce Development
- Recruiting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing medical workforce.
- Supporting physician engagement, leadership development, and succession planning.
- Creating a collaborative and high-performance medical culture.
Hospital Commissioning & Operational Readiness
- Leading medical planning and pre-opening activities.
- Supporting service design, operational readiness, and hospital commissioning.
- Establishing governance structures, clinical pathways, and operational processes prior to launch.
Accreditation & Regulatory Excellence
- Leading the organisation's accreditation journey.
- Supporting compliance with national and international healthcare standards.
- Preparing the organisation for JCI and other internationally recognised accreditation programmes.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be an accomplished physician executive with a proven track record of clinical leadership within complex healthcare environments.
Essential Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) qualification with active medical registration/licensure.
- Minimum 10 years of post-specialist clinical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of senior medical leadership experience within a hospital environment.
- Previous experience in roles such as:
- Chief Medical Officer
- Medical Director
- Director of Medical Services
- Deputy Medical Director
- Executive Medical Director
- Clinical Director
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary medical teams.
- Strong expertise in clinical governance, quality improvement, patient safety, and physician leadership.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and strategic leadership capabilities.
Highly Desirable
- Experience supporting JCI, ACHSI, Accreditation Canada, or equivalent accreditation frameworks.
- Previous involvement in hospital commissioning, expansion, or transformation projects.
- Experience leading digital transformation or healthcare innovation initiatives.
- Master's degree in Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Executive Compensation Package
A highly competitive international executive package will be offered to attract exceptional physician leaders from the UK, Australia, Canada, Europe, Singapore, and the GCC.
Indicative Compensation Range
£250,000 – £400,000+ per annum USD $340,000 – $545,000+ per annum AED 104,000 – AED 167,000+ per month

Compensation Philosophy
The client recognises that exceptional physician executives command varying levels of remuneration globally. Compensation will be structured individually and benchmarked against leading international healthcare markets for candidates with significant Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Medical Director, Director of Medical Services, hospital commissioning, digital transformation, accreditation, or executive healthcare leadership experience.
Exceptional packages may be considered for candidates with a proven track record of leading large-scale healthcare organisations, delivering transformational change, or supporting the successful development and commissioning of new hospital projects.
