Research Physician (PGY3–6) Permanent or Locum Opportunity

Position Overview
We are seeking motivated Research Physicians (PGY3–6) to join a leading clinical research organization in Perth. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and support clinical trials in accordance with approved protocols
• Perform patient assessments, screening, and follow-ups for research participants
• Ensure strict adherence to GCP (Good Clinical Practice) and regulatory standards
• Accurately document clinical findings and trial data
• Monitor patient safety and report adverse events
• Collaborate with research coordinators, nurses, and investigators
• Participate in audits and quality assurance processes

Eligibility & Requirements

• Medical degree with full registration from Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• PGY3–6 level doctors
• Prior hospital experience (essential)
• Interest in clinical research (experience desirable but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions

• Monday–Friday schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Minimal disruption compared to hospital shift work
• Structured, predictable working hours
• On-call rota: 1 in 6 weeks

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: AUD 154,000 (pro rata)
• Superannuation (standard Australian employer contribution)
• 5 weeks annual leave
• Salary packaging options (tax-effective benefits)
• On-call allowance: AUD 450/week
• Overtime: Paid at 100% + loading
• Penalty rates:
  • 125% (early mornings / late evenings)
  • 150% (Sundays & public holidays)
