Consultant – Pediatric Ophthalmology
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Salary: AED 90,000–130,000 per month (AED 1,080,000–1,560,000 per annum)

Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant in Pediatric Ophthalmology to join a leading tertiary healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide specialized ophthalmic care to infants, children, and adolescents, managing both medical and surgical eye conditions.
Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage pediatric ophthalmic conditions including strabismus, amblyopia, congenital cataracts, glaucoma, and retinopathy of prematurity.
• Perform pediatric ophthalmic surgeries within granted clinical privileges.
• Conduct outpatient clinics and provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to training programs.
• Participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Medical degree with specialization in Ophthalmology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty certification in Pediatric Ophthalmology.
• Board Certification (Tier 1 preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience at Consultant level.
• DOH license or eligibility.
