Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embryologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide expert prenatal diagnostic and consultative services, manage high-risk pregnancies, and work collaboratively with obstetricians, neonatologists, embryologists, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure optimal maternal and fetal outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Provide specialist care in fetal medicine and prenatal diagnosis, including high-risk pregnancy management
Perform and interpret advanced fetal imaging and diagnostic procedures, including:
Detailed anomaly scans
Fetal growth and Doppler studies
First- and second-trimester screening
Invasive prenatal procedures (e.g., amniocentesis, CVS), where credentialed
Counsel patients and families regarding fetal conditions, genetic findings, and management options with empathy and clarity
Collaborate closely with obstetrics, neonatology, embryology, genetics, and multidisciplinary teams
Develop and implement individualized care plans for complex fetal conditions
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and protocol development
Supervise and support junior medical staff, fellows, and sonographers as required
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in line with hospital and regulatory standards
Stay current with advancements in fetal medicine through continuing medical education and research activities
Required Qualifications & Experience
Medical degree from a recognized institution
Specialist qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology with formal subspecialty training in Fetal Medicine
Board certification or equivalent (e.g., UK CCT, US Board, European Board, or equivalent recognized by UAE authorities)
Minimum 5–7 years of post-specialist experience in fetal medicine
Eligibility for DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) licensure
Proven expertise in advanced prenatal diagnostics and high-risk pregnancy care
