Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary mental health and rehabilitation service in Dubai. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with mental health disorders, addiction, and substance use disorders, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based treatment and ethical clinical practice.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with psychologists, therapists, nursing staff, and rehabilitation teams to deliver high-quality psychiatric care in both outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnoses
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans for patients with:
Mental health disorders
Substance use disorders
Addiction and rehabilitation cases
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in line with best practices
Provide ongoing psychiatric reviews and follow-up care
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical documentation
Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, ethical standards, and facility policies
Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives
Support patient and family education where appropriate
Requirements
Qualifications & Licensing
Medical Degree with specialization in Psychiatry
Consultant-level experience (as per DHA criteria)
DHA License or DHA Eligibility is required
Experience
Proven experience in:
Addiction psychiatry
Substance use disorders
Mental health disorders
Rehabilitation settings
Experience working in structured treatment programs is highly preferred
