Consultant – Paediatric Intensive Care (PICU)
Location: Saudi Arabia (Al Qassim region)
Package: SAR 80,000 – 100,000 per month (≈ SAR 960,000 – 1,200,000 per year) + full benefits
Contract: Full-time, permanent
 
Overview A leading government healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care (PICU) to join a high-acuity paediatric critical care service. This confidential opportunity is suited to a senior PICU consultant with strong expertise in managing critically ill neonates, infants, and children in a tertiary-level setting.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist intensive care management for critically ill paediatric patients, including respiratory failure, sepsis, post-operative care, and multi-organ dysfunction.
• Lead and participate in emergency resuscitation, stabilisation, and advanced life-support interventions.
• Work closely with paediatric subspecialists, anaesthesiology, emergency medicine, and nursing teams.
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with hospital policies and national healthcare regulations.
• Contribute to PICU service development, clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Supervise, mentor, and support junior physicians, fellows, and nursing staff.

Candidate Profile

• Board-Certified/Eligible Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care.
• Western-qualified doctors only (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, or equivalent).
• Proven experience working in high-acuity PICU environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary team-working skills.
• Eligible for Consultant licensing with the relevant Saudi health authority.

Compensation & Benefits

• Tax-free salary: SAR 80,000 – 100,000 per month (negotiable based on experience).
