Consultant Gastroenterologist
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Package: AED 45,000 – 80,000 per month (≈ AED 540,000 – 960,000 per year) + full benefits
Contract: Full-time, permanent
 
Overview A leading private healthcare provider in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist to join its digestive health service. This confidential opportunity is ideal for a consultant with strong experience in colonoscopiesand general gastroenterology, but not performing advanced endoscopic procedures such as ERCP or EUS.
Male candidates with native-level English proficiency are preferred.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist gastroenterology assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform standard colonoscopies and other routine gastroenterology procedures.
• Manage gastrointestinal disorders including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and functional bowel disorders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgery, radiology, nutrition, and nursing.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE regulatory and hospital governance standards.
• Participate in clinical governance, service development, and professional education initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Board-Certified/Eligible Consultant Gastroenterologist (UK CCT/CCST, European Board, US Board, Australian/NZ Fellowship, or equivalent).
• Significant experience in colonoscopies and general gastroenterology.
• Not performing advanced endoscopic procedures (ERCP/EUS).
• Native English speaker – essential.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative, patient-focused approach.
• Eligible for Consultant licensing with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
