The Role
As a Site Quality Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Chemistry Quality Manager by maintaining and enhancing the ALS Quality Management System. We are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in auditing and method validation, as you will be responsible for conducting audits and thorough reviews of validation protocols and reports, supporting method transfers, and ensuring compliance with current SOPs and procedures.
Your strong analytical and technical background will be essential for leading and documenting investigations, tracking non-compliance issues, and overseeing the proficiency testing program. You will also assist in managing equipment calibration schedules, deliver staff training, and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives across the site.
- Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Working Days Monday to Friday
- Hours:40 hours per week
- Location: ALS Chatteris Chemistry Laboratory
The day to day - Assist with the review and amendment of SOPs, and authorise the issue of documents.
- Ensure that all SOPs and procedures are current, and relevant staff are trained in updated procedures.
- Coordinate and document investigations, ensuring timely submission and completion in line with ALS procedures.
- Perform corrective/preventive actions for non-conforming work, complaints, and internal audits, followed by effectiveness checks.
- Perform internal audits, spot checks, and follow up on action items to ensure timely resolution of identified issues
The Essentials - A degree in a Science-related field.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with a solid understanding of validation protocols and procedures.
- A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively both within the team and with external clients.
- Good organisational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and working to deadlines.
- High computer literacy, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- The ability to remain objective and uphold quality standards in challenging situations.
