The Role
Are you a confident leader with a hands-on approach and a passion for both people and the planet? We’re seeking a dedicated Project Co-ordinator to join our Field Services department based in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a key role, guiding a team of Sampling Technicians who deliver critical environmental monitoring and sampling services for our major clients. While primarily office-based, the role also requires regular travel for on-site and fieldwork duties.
Hours Per Week: 37
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (with the potential for approximately 1–2 weekend days overtime per month)
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Location: Coventry
Annual Salary: £27,694 - £32,694 per annum
The day to day
As a Project Co-ordinator, you’ll be right at the heart of our Field Services operation leading by example and making sure everything runs smoothly, safely and to a high standard. Your days will be varied, rewarding and full of purpose.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting and motivating a team of Sampling Technicians to deliver high-quality environmental monitoring
- Efficiently planning team rotas, scheduling workloads to optimise recsources
- Acting as the first point of contact for your team offering support and guidance
- Liaising with Project Managers to keep sampling activities on track and meet key client targets
- Taking a hands-on approach when needed including sampling in the field
- Managing equipment, vehicles and PPE to ensure everything is safe and ready to use
- Preparing reports and maintaining key performance data and trackers
- Assisting with customer queries and working with other departments to maintain quality and safety standards, striving for continuous improvement
- Providing cover for colleagues and helping implement new initiatives to improve our service

The Essentials - Proven experience in team leadership and motivation
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A proactive, professional approach with the ability to perform under pressure
- Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Proficient in IT and digital systems
- Willing and able to travel across the UK as needed
- Full, clean UK driving licence
Sound working knowledge of Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems
