The Role
As a Site Quality Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our Quality System, supporting various functions across the site, including equipment management, calibration activities, document control, and administrative tasks. You will liaise closely with the Quality Manager, Laboratory Managers, and other key departments to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Hours Per Week: 40
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
Location: Ely

The day to day
- Maintain and support the ALS Quality System on a day-to-day basis.
- Manage equipment records within ALimS+, ensuring correct labelling, calibration, and profiling in line with the calibration/service schedule.
- Calibrate departmental pipettes, timers, and thermometers according to defined schedules.
- Conduct mapping and visual checks of temperature-controlled and climatic chambers.
- Support the implementation and effectiveness checking of corrective actions.
- Evaluate the suitability of new and existing suppliers/subcontractors.
- Maintain the archiving process and associated records.
- Control analytical methods and client-supplied specifications.
- Initiate and maintain Technical Agreements with clients detailing responsibilities and services.
- Assist in general administrative tasks within the department.
- Adhere to all company health and safety policies.
The Essentials - Qualifications in Science or Pharmaceutical Quality Management.
- Strong computer literacy and familiarity with quality systems and documentation control.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload effectively.
- Confident in representing the Quality Department in collaborative or challenging situations.
