About the Role
With the increasing global focus on PFAS, we are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Global PFAS Practice Lead to guide our global PFAS strategy, regulatory engagement, and technical leadership. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of PFAS testing, collaborating with industry leaders, regulators, and technical experts worldwide.
As the Global PFAS Practice Lead, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence, business growth, and global collaboration in PFAS testing. You will work across the ALS network, ensuring our capabilities remain at the forefront of scientific advancements and meet evolving market and regulatory needs.
Preference is for the role to be based at one of our laboratories in either Prague, Stockholm, Humlebaek, Coventry, or Hawarden.
The day to day
Technical & Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a global PFAS strategy, ensuring ALS remains an industry leader in PFAS testing.
- Work with technical SMEs to expand and enhance PFAS capabilities across ALS laboratories.
- Identify and leverage global best practices and innovations to ensure ALS offers world-class PFAS testing solutions.
Business & Market Growth - Support global business development efforts, identifying new market opportunities and contributing to revenue growth.
- Drive global PFAS market access, ensuring ALS is positioned to meet emerging customer needs.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote ALS’ PFAS capabilities and expand market presence.
Industry & Regulatory Influence - Engage with regulatory bodies, industry committees, and key stakeholders to help shape the future of PFAS testing standards.
- Represent ALS at global industry events, conferences, and scientific forums, strengthening our thought leadership.
- Stay ahead of evolving PFAS regulations and market trends, ensuring ALS remains compliant and competitive.
What We’re Looking For: - Expertise in PFAS & Environmental Science – Strong technical background in PFAS analysis, environmental testing, and regulatory frameworks.
- 10+ years of industry experience – A mix of technical and client-facing roles within laboratory services.
- Strategic & Commercial Acumen – Ability to think strategically, identify market opportunities, and drive business growth.
- Strong Communication & Leadership Skills – Comfortable engaging with clients, regulators, industry leaders, and internal teams.
- Global Mindset & Adaptability – Experience working across multiple markets, cultures, and regulatory environments.
- Passion for Science & Innovation – A deep commitment to scientific excellence, emerging technologies, and industry advancements.
- Flexibility to Travel – The ability to travel internationally as required to support global initiatives.
