The Role
ALS Laboratories are looking for a Quality Co-Ordinator to support the Ely site.
The successful candidate will assist the Section Heads and other members of the site Quality Team to ensure maintenance of the Quality System, making sure that all requirements are met and delivered on time.

About the Position
Hours Per Week: 40
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday – 08:30 – 17:00
Contract: Full Time and Permanent
The day to day
- To assist laboratory management in ensuring the maintenance of the ALS Quality System on a daily basis.
- Perform, document and co-ordinate internal non-compliance, complaints and OOS investigations in conjunction with the laboratory management as per ALS procedures to a high level of detail.
- Perform, document and co-ordinate proficiency testing failures and analytical quality control failures investigations in conjunction with the laboratory management as per ALS procedures to a high level of detail.
- Work to support laboratory management, ensuring agreed KPI’s, quality requirements are delivered in a timely manner.
- Review procedures and system regularly for continuous improvement. Ability to implement, monitor and measure these actions.
- Assist with the review, amendment and writing of SOP’s.
- Propose and implement corrective actions, provide communication to the laboratory team and quality management of procedural changes.
- Ensure all work undertaken complies with all relevant HSE, Quality, Regulatory and Accreditation standards and requirements including compliance to internal ALS policies and procedures.
The Essentials - Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or an appropriate subject, or proven experience in relevant analytical techniques.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of Chemical analysis across a range of methodologies, techniques and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of quality requirements to GMP and ISO 17025:2017.
- Experience in the writing of quality events and investigational reports to a high level.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office programs and LIMS
