The Role
As a Warehouse Operative you will be an integral part of the team, providing the different laboratories across the business with their requirements for the day-to-day operations, making sure stock levels are always correct, and receiving suppliers' deliveries.

Hours Per Week: 37
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday 08.30 -16.30
Contract: Full Time & Permanent
Annual Salary: £22,549 per annum
The day to day
- Ensuring requested items are accurately picked, and allocated to the end user
- Receiving deliveries into site, unpacking, checking against delivery notes, labelling, and locating in correct locations on day of receipt
- Recording Goods Received, and filing/archiving delivery notes appropriately
- Recording batch numbers if applicable, segregating stock for use by the Quality Department, or for specific projects
- Assisting with stock counting at intervals determined by Warehouse Manager
- Ensuring warehouse and loading bay areas are always clean and tidy
- Complying with all Health and Safety requirements
The Essentials - The ability and motivation to work alone, and as part of a team.
- Basic computer/IT skills - Excel, Word. Experience using OrderWise ERP system is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Great attention to detail, and the ability to work on own initiative
- Have a hands-on approach to manual tasks
- Good communication skills, written and oral
- Be able to accurately follow written procedures and verbal direction
- Determination to Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
- Ambition for self-Improvement and acquire new skills
- Counterbalance forklift truck license up to 1.4 Tons desirable.
