The Role
An opportunity has arisen for the role of Recycling Technician in the Logistics team at ALS Environmental in Tile Hill, Coventry.

As a Recycling Technician, you will be ensuring completion of a range of tasks within the Logistics department to enable the effective and efficient receipt, registration, storage & primarily the disposal of samples throughout the business. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth operations by adhering to safety and quality protocols, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.

Hours Per Week: 37
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday 08.00 -16.00
Contract: Full Time & Permanent
Annual Salary: £22,549 per annum

The day to day

• To rotate sample bottles and dispose of bottles after analysis.
• To ensure that the workstation/working environment is always clean and tidy.
• Washing of glassware
• Processing of return samples.
• Processing waste for recycling/disposal
• Monitor and ensure all site recycling streams are adhered to.
• Compact and bale recycling as required.
• Liaise with third party waste/recycling contractors as required.

The Essentials

• 3 GCSEs including English and Maths desirable
• IT skills including knowledge of Excel, Outlook and the ability to use in-house software after training
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Team working
• Must be able to work accurately
• Good communication skills
• Physically able to carry out duties.
