The Role
ALS Laboratories is seeking a Laboratory Analyst Grade 1 to join our committed Inorganics department on a temporary basis at ALS Wakefield. If you are passionate about scientific analysis and have a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, and ready to make a difference.
About the Position
Shift: Tuesday - Saturday
Salary: £22,549
Location: Ossett, Wakefield
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
The day to day
- Understand and respond to customer requirements.
- Efficiently and effectively complete sample analyses, adhering to all processes, procedures, and legislation.
- Deliver on key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet department goals.
- Accurately report and document analytical data.
- Participate in the Taste and Odour panel on a rotational basis following screening.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve work objectives.
- Actively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
The Essentials - Qualifications: 5 GCSEs at Grade C (equivalent to new Grade 4) or above, including Science, Maths, and English, plus an A-level or equivalent in a scientific subject.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures with precision.
- Strong desire to learn and adapt.
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Competent in using computers and relevant software.
- Collaborative team player.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage your own work area.
- Willingness to support the team and enhance your skills by working weekends.
