Our client is an established local builder/developer with over 15 years' experience delivering high-end residential and commercial developments across Canberra and the surrounding region. Known for quality outcomes they have built a strong reputation in the local market.
This opportunity has arisen due to the current Senior Contracts Administrator relocating to be closer to family. With a $70 million development currently underway and a full pipeline of upcoming projects, this is a genuine opportunity to join a stable, growing business with an experienced and approachable management team.

The Role
As Senior Contracts Administrator, you will play a key role in the commercial management of the business's current $70 million development, working closely with the project team, subcontractors and consultants to ensure projects are delivered on budget and in line with contractual requirements.
You'll join a business with a strong pipeline of future work, offering long-term stability and genuine opportunities for career growth within an experienced and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor procurement, including scopes of work, tendering and negotiations.
• Administer subcontracts, including variations, claims and payment certification.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Review and negotiate head contract and subcontract terms.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage insurances, bonds, bank guarantees and contractual documentation.
• Support project teams with risk identification and commercial issue resolution.

About You

• 5+ years' experience as a Contracts Administrator with a builder or developer.
• Demonstrated experience delivering high-end residential and/or commercial projects over $20m
• Strong understanding of contract law, procurement and subcontractor management.
• Experience using Jobpac (or similar construction management software) essential.
• High attention to detail with strong financial and reporting acumen.
• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
