Joining a growing assurance team, this is a hands-on senior role where you will lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, manage on-site fieldwork teams, and build strong relationships with clients across a diverse portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute statutory audit engagements across a portfolio of companies, trusts, not-for-profit organisations, and strata corporations
• Develop risk-based audit plans and design appropriate responses in accordance with Australian Auditing Standards (ASAs)
• Lead fieldwork teams on client sites, supervising and coaching junior staff throughout the engagement
• Perform and review substantive and controls-based testing across all key financial statement areas
• Prepare draft audit reports, management letters, and completion memoranda for Manager and Partner review
• Review client financial statements for compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and relevant legislative frameworks
• Identify control deficiencies and areas for client improvement, communicating findings clearly and constructive
• Act as the primary day-to-day contact for a portfolio of audit clients

About You

• CA or CPA qualified (or near completion) with experience in external audit in a public practice environment
• Solid working knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards (ASAs) and Australian Accounting Standards (AASB)
• Experience leading audit engagements from planning through to sign-off
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to clients
• Proficiency in audit software such as CaseWare, Inflo, or similar
