Highland is seeking a practical, solutions-focused AI Specialist to help us build, implement, and optimise AI and automation tools across the business.
This newly created role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on delivery-prototyping tools, improving workflows, building automations, and supporting teams to adopt everyday AI solutions that make work easier and faster.

The Role – What You'll Be Doing

• Identify workflow and automation opportunities across multiple business units
• Build practical AI tools, workflows, prompts and automations
• Partner with teams on-site to understand processes and pain points
• Support staff with prompt engineering, AI adoption and best-practice usage
• Test, refine and optimise AI models and workflows
• Develop simple governance, documentation and reporting structures
• Provide training sessions, support materials, and hands-on user support
• Stay across emerging AI tools and recommend new opportunities
• Collaborate with internal tech teams and external partners as required
• Primarily based in Cronulla, with travel to our other offices to understand each team’s workflow

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Experience working with AI tools, automation platforms, or applied data/tech roles
• Hands-on capability to build and deploy simple, scalable AI solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills and interest in improving business processes
• Ability to translate business needs into user-friendly workflows
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with non-technical teams
• Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable in fast-paced environments
• Passion for innovation and helping people work smarter
