Oversee and maintain compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards, ensuring systems are up to date, fully implemented, and that all staff receive necessary training.
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, sales, and engineering teams to drive quality improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
Analyze customer requirements for quality reporting and ensure all relevant personnel are trained and aligned with reporting expectations.
Partner with manufacturing and engineering departments to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and implement continuous process improvements.
Conduct internal audits and use statistical analysis and supplier development practices to assess and improve performance.
Support resolution of customer complaints and lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives using structured problem-solving techniques.
Manage document control processes, including updates to the Quality Manual, Standard Practice Books (STPB), Work Instructions, and related forms. Coordinate scheduled reviews and updates.
Lead the internal audit program, including audit planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting.
Prepare and deliver departmental reports such as corrective action summaries, audit findings, and management review updates.
Monitor adherence to internal procedures and external quality standards, propose process enhancements, and track their implementation and results.
Assess supplier performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and oversee corrective and preventive actions when necessary.
Fulfill managerial responsibilities related to quality systems and drive ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Track, analyze, and report on key quality metrics.
Facilitate quality-focused meetings, lead discussions on risk management, safety, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Support employee training initiatives and maintain accurate training documentation.
Develop, update, and execute Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and programs.
Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, including documentation and reporting.
Guide and advise staff on safety procedures and best practices.
Organize and deliver training seminars and webinars to support employee safety and compliance awareness.
Monitor organizational compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
Perform risk assessments and introduce preventative strategies.
Ensure that all safety protocols are enforced by supervisors and management.
Monitor, evaluate, and report all health and safety performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality management or related role.
Demonstrated success in audit preparation and execution.
Knowledge of industry regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Experience developing and delivering training on quality and safety topics.
Strong documentation skills with the ability to produce clear reports, procedures, and manuals.
Customer-focused mindset with a strong understanding of client needs.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
Effective project management capabilities with experience juggling multiple priorities.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Deep understanding of Aerospace and Automotive industry standards, specifically AS9100 and ISO 9001.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet-based tools.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in the Defense industry.
7+ years of experience in a relevant quality management role.
