Engineering Manager
The Engineering Manager will lead and oversee the engineering department within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for driving the efficiency and effectiveness of engineering activities, including New Product Introduction (NPI), capital expenditure (CapEx) allocation, process improvements, and project management. The Engineering Manager will collaborate across departments to promote continuous improvement, operational excellence, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team, ensuring alignment with plant objectives.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies to enhance manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards (TS-16949, ISO-14001), and industry best practices.
• Manage engineering projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production challenges.
• Oversee workload prioritization, ensuring engineering projects align with plant goals and budgets.
• Drive new model launch project management from award of business to start of production (SOP).
• Oversee all capital projects, including justification, capital requests (OA), and execution.
• Maintain and update equipment asset lists annually.
• Lead equipment commissioning and approval before startup.
• Support the Maintenance team in developing and updating Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs for facility equipment.
• Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process parameters for all plant processes.
• Conduct Layered Process Audits per the required schedule.
• Actively participate in plant-wide communication initiatives, process improvements, and launch activities.
• Ensure effective communication across all organizational levels to facilitate timely issue resolution.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong leadership, team management, and coaching skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in engineering software, tools, and methodologies.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

• Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with industrial automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.

• Mathematical Ability: Strong math skills required for complex calculations and problem-solving.
• Reasoning Ability: Capable of defining problems, analyzing data, and drawing valid conclusions from technical information.
• Computer Skills:
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with MS Project for project tracking
• AutoCAD for technical drawings
• Minitab (a plus) for statistical analysis
