Senior Engineering Manager – Emissions Systems
Job Summary:
The Senior Engineering Manager, Emissions Systems plays a key role in the global engineering organization, supporting both business and product strategy while managing an emissions systems product engineering team. This position allows the ideal candidate to leverage expertise in emissions systems, drive innovation roadmaps, and take full ownership of products from concept to obsolescence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze current and future system-level requirements for energy storage systems and components, with an initial emphasis on fuel system leak detection.
• Drive the creation and protection of intellectual property (IP) related to emissions systems.
• Develop, manage, and report on engineering budgets.
• Establish and execute development plans for the engineering team.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements for both products and processes.
• Lead warranty reduction initiatives for emissions systems.
• Ensure product launches and changes are executed on time following established engineering and business processes.
• Develop and maintain an innovation roadmap for emissions systems.

• Oversee budget development, execution, and forecasting.
• Lead talent development, recruitment, and team performance.
• Build and maintain customer technical relationships.
• Identify and secure new system application opportunities.
• Analyze customer and market trends to align product strategy with business objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), warranty reduction, and obsolescence planning.
• Develop and maintain core competencies that differentiate the company from competitors.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Master’s in Engineering (MSEE, MSME) or MBA preferred.
• Extensive experience interfacing with customers and suppliers.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in evaporative fuel systems, battery pack emissions, or alternative fuel system emissions.
• At least 8 years of technical leadership and management experience, leading global teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a self-motivated and results-driven mindset.
• Innovative and collaborative team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet business objectives.

• Ability to travel internationally, including to the Asia-Pacific region.
• Up to 25% travel may be required based on business needs.
