Position: IT Manager Location: Metro Detroit Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the company’s IT strategy and roadmap within an allocated budget.
Contribute to the change management process by planning and implementing IT system transitions.
Assess the progress of IT initiatives and make adjustments based on performance, feedback from leadership, and customer insights.
Oversee and support software development and system modifications as necessary.
Ensure IT systems are consistently maintained to prevent failures and support the company’s growth.
Lead IT support operations for both internal teams and external clients.
Manage telecommunications infrastructure, software, and hardware across all company locations, including corporate offices, remote offices, and home offices.
Oversee risk management, compliance, and security measures to maintain system integrity.
Conduct thorough system testing before deployments to ensure functionality and minimize downtime.
Participate in regular technical meetings with senior leadership for problem resolution and guidance.
Assess and prioritize company-wide IT needs, conduct feasibility studies, and evaluate design options to update the IT roadmap.
Provide expertise on various IT projects and system implementations.
Manage IT project and program execution.
Align technology initiatives (infrastructure, hardware, software) with the company’s IT budget and strategic goals.
Direct all stages of system design, programming, and operations.
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Collaborate with leadership to refine IT support objectives and strategies.
Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and that issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
Conduct business process analysis and cost/benefit assessments to ensure IT solutions align with business needs.
Create or update technical specifications to support business objectives.
Write and update documentation for internal and external business unit products and services.
Manage help desk operations, ensuring escalated issues are resolved effectively.
Analyze help desk data and implement technological improvements to reduce issues and enhance service.
Travel locally when required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
10+ years of experience in IT leadership.
5+ years of experience managing IT teams and initiatives in a corporate setting.
Deep understanding of CMMC/NIST frameworks.
Proven experience leading enterprise-wide reengineering projects.
Solid background in IT security practices and controls.
Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both end users and stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
A strong team player dedicated to the company’s mission and goals.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Experience in IT development for fast-growing organizations.
Relevant IT certifications.
