Senior Account Manager – Oakland County, MI
  
Summary

This position is responsible for enhancing the Company’s brand reputation with specific clients and managing orders and accounts to drive profitable growth for the CBU. The Account Manager will coordinate regional German customer account management activities and serve as the primary point of contact for account development, including identifying regional opportunities, conducting customer-specific due diligence, and determining costs and pricing.
  
Key Functions & Responsibilities of the Senior Account Manager

• Prepare and manage price quotations with supporting tool and pricing breakdowns.
• Process, enter, track, and invoice purchase orders.
• Provide direct and/or indirect support to the Customer Business Unit (CBU).
• Collaborate on CBU and Business Group acquisition activities related to customer-specific requirements (forecasting, capacity/footprint planning, technology offerings), monitor results, and revise award packages to support the CBU and Business Group in achieving future growth objectives.
• Interact as needed with internal functional groups such as Engineering, NVH, Finance, Program Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Costing.
• Ensure daily business activities comply with Company regulations for the Conduct of Business Relationships.

  
Required Experience, Skills, & Abilities of the Senior Account Manager

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of successful sales experience in the automotive industry; experience with acoustic/thermal management products is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of the market, including identifying business development opportunities and competitive threats.
• Ability to motivate and influence others.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.  
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
• Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare detailed reports, analyses, and correspondence, effectively present information, and respond to questions from senior managers, clients, and suppliers.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, especially under pressure.
• Basic math skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, internet, and email.

This position involves working under pressure to meet deadlines and may require working more than 40 hours per week.
