Our client is a national electrical contractor with a strong footprint across Brisbane delivering high‑quality electrical upgrades, maintenance, and operational works across hospitals, schools, universities, and commercial facilities. With a 50‑person team across the state and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager with an Electrical Trade background to join their Brisbane team.
  
About the Role
This position is ideal for an electrically‑qualified Project Manager who thrives in live, operational environments rather than construction sites. You’ll oversee electrical upgrades, cutover works, shutdowns, and staged project delivery across key facilities including hospitals, education campuses, and commercial buildings.
You’ll work closely with clients, principal contractors, and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality project outcomes.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical upgrade projects in operational environments (not construction sites)
• Plan and deliver cutover works, shutdowns, and staged upgrades
• Coordinate with clients, principal contractors, and internal teams
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, procurement, and compliance
• Ensure safety, quality, and operational continuity across all sites
• Build long‑term relationships with clients and stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

• Electrical trade qualification (essential)
• Proven experience managing electrical projects in live operational facilities
• Strong understanding of shutdown planning, cutovers, and staged works
• Ability to communicate confidently with clients and principal contractors
• Strong organisational and leadership skills
