GD Recruitment is currently seeking an Operation's Manager for a well-established electrical company working with Tier 1 clients and government contracts.
About the Role: Reporting directly to the General Manager/Director, the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of projects, workforce management, job scheduling, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organisational skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to lead a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of electrical service projects.
• Schedule and coordinate staff, materials, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise electricians and support staff.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor WHS compliance and ensure all work adheres to Australian electrical and safety standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
• Manage budgets, quotes, invoicing, and job costing in conjunction with admin/accounts.
• Maintain accurate project and compliance documentation.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in an Operations, Project, or Service Manager role within the electrical or construction industry in Australia.
• Trade background (Licensed Electrician or similar) preferred but not essential.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, WHS legislation, and electrical regulations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in job management software (e.g., SimPRO, AroFlo, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
