The role:
We are seeking a talented Partnerships Manager to play a pivotal role in driving digital revenue growth and expanding Gumtree Group's advertising footprint across the Melbourne and South Australian markets. This role is responsible for managing and deepening relationships with agencies and clients, identifying new commercial opportunities and delivering innovative advertising partnerships across Gumtree, CarsGuide and AutoTrader. The Partnerships Manager will lead strategic conversations with agencies and brands to create value-driven, data-informed media solutions that meet client objectives and drive network revenue performance. They will collaborate closely with marketing, operations and product teams to ensure the seamless delivery of campaigns and uphold Gumtree Group's position as a trusted partner in the Australian media landscape.
What you'll do:
- Drive revenue growth by developing client-led sales strategies, converting new business opportunities, and optimising existing client portfolios
- Achieve quarterly sales targets across direct and programmatic channels while contributing to national commercial and revenue initiatives
- Build and nurture relationships with media agencies, key clients, and brand decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor through strategic insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with internal specialists to deliver integrated campaign solutions and represent the brand across industry events and client engagements
- Collaborate across Ad Operations and Strategy teams to deliver end-to-end campaign success, accurate forecasting, and innovative, on-brand client proposals
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, sharing actionable insights to guide sales strategy and product development
What you'll bring: - 4-6 years of experience in digital media sales, ideally within a publisher or media network
- Proven success in achieving and exceeding commercial sales targets
- Deep existing network of media agencies and direct client relationships
- Experience delivering integrated, data-led digital advertising solutions and the ability to develop strategic sales narratives backed by data and insights
- Exceptional commercial acumen and negotiation skills, along with excellent presentation, communication and influencing abilities across all stakeholder levels
- Confident in navigating both programmatic and direct trading environments
- Proactive, autonomous and outcome-driven with a growth mindset
- Deep understanding of digital advertising ecosystems, including audience targeting, native and performance-led campaigns
- Experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office and Salesforce or similar CRM for pipeline management
