About the role: 
 
We're looking for a Business Development Manager who lives and breathes the online jobs industry. Whether you're from a marketplace, recruitment, or jobs software background, your focus will be connecting clients with talent.
Gumtree Jobs lists over 8,000 roles and attracts 3.9M monthly visitors. You'll help clients tap into this audience using our platform’s insights and data.
This role leads partnerships, drives new business, re-engages lapsed clients, and works with product and tech teams to grow the Jobs category.

What you’ll do:

• Drive revenue and partnerships in Gumtree Jobs by engaging new and existing businesses
• Identify and prioritise sales opportunities to grow market share
• Explore partnerships that boost platform engagement
• Build and execute a 12-month Jobs sales strategy
• Foster a collaborative team culture through knowledge sharing and support
• Represent Gumtree as a Jobs category expert with deep industry knowledge
• Stay ahead of market trends to inform product and tech improvements
• Strengthen relationships with key clients directly and with the sales team
• Help shape product packages and pricing to maximise revenue

What you’ll bring:

• 4+ years’ experience in SaaS, Jobs, or Talent market; strong industry knowledge essential
• Proven sales experience with a passion for winning new business
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
• Analytical skills and the ability to turn data into insights
• Confident communication and presentation skills, in-person and online
• The ability to be proactive with a strong sense of ownership
• Experience developing strategic plans (Jobs market a bonus)
• Leadership experience and relevant tertiary qualifications are a plus
