About the role:
 
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on State Sales Manager to lead our NSW sales team and oversee QLD. You’ll report to the Director of Advertising and step into an already established, high-performing advertising team of six. This is a senior, high-impact role focused on accelerating revenue, strengthening key partnerships, and expanding into new verticals, with a strong focus on automotive and beyond.
 
What you’ll do:

• Lead, coach, and empower an already high-performing team, driving development, performance, and growth
• Own and deliver revenue targets across NSW & QLD — automotive and non-automotive
• Build strong, consultative relationships with senior clients and agency stakeholders
• Identify new business opportunities and expand revenue outside the core automotive category
• Leverage Gumtree Group’s rich first-party data to create insight-led, high-impact media solutions
• Ensure CRM discipline, accurate forecasting, and transparent pipeline management
• Represent Gumtree Group at industry events, positioning us as a strategic market leader
• Collaborate across product, marketing, and ops to deliver standout campaign results
• Lead compelling proposals and sales narratives that drive results

• 4+ yrs of team leadership; 7+ yrs in digital/media sales
• Strong relationships with key clients and media agencies, especially in auto
• Proven ability to drive commercial growth and lead strategic selling
• Data-driven mindset with strong digital and programmatic knowledge
• A confident, collaborative communicator with solid negotiation chops
