About the role: 
 
As we continue to grow and expand the team we are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join Gumtree Group. You’ll focus on bringing products to life through creativity and a data-driven mindset. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with product managers, tech leads, and fellow designers to build robust solutions and work iteratively to ensure your designs are considered in the context of the broader Gumtree Group ecosystem. 
 
What you’ll do:

• Understand that the best user experiences rely on function followed by form; understand what to build, before contemplating how 
• Emphasise the importance of user validation at every stage of the process and combine this with your experience in the practice of user research
• Have a passion for untangling customer problems and translating them into simple web and mobile applications using best practice UX/UI patterns
• Have a high level of curiosity and care about the performance of your work, seeing that it solves real user problems (not just shipping features) 
• Clearly articulate and communicate your designs and insights with stakeholders engagingly and succinctly to help convince others of your reasoning
• Collaborate and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
• Proactively collaborate with others to hear their perspective, be keen to work in a fast-paced, and are comfortable working to certain levels of ambiguity

• 5+ years of experience as a seasoned product designer working as an end-to-end product designer (discovery through to delivery) and have shipped pixel-perfect products to customers
• An understanding of the value that user validation has along with experience in various UX research methods
• Excellent communication skills and a storyteller who can justify design decisions clearly
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating pixel-perfect designs (experience building Design Systems is a bonus)
• An understanding of the nuances of different platforms (responsive web, apps, etc) and experience designing for native applications 
• Experience using industry tools such as Figma, Askable, Maze, Jira, Confluence and more
