Located on Phillip Island, 3922 VIC, Create Catering (Penguins) is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join their team. The successful candidate will contribute to the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals and catering services while maintaining excellent food standards and efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and developing menus in accordance with seasonal availability, customer preferences, and catering requirements.
• Preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of dishes while ensuring consistent quality, flavour, and presentation.
• Managing food preparation and coordinating kitchen operations to ensure efficient service during regular dining and special events.
• Monitoring food quality, portion sizes, and presentation to maintain established culinary standards.
• Estimating food requirements, monitoring stock levels, and assisting with ordering and inventory management.
• Supervising and coordinating kitchen staff, allocating tasks, and providing guidance to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Maintaining cleanliness and proper organisation of kitchen equipment, preparation areas, and food storage facilities.

About You:

• At least one year of relevant experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hospitality, or catering environment.
• Strong culinary skills with experience in preparing and presenting a variety of dishes.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, particularly during busy service periods.
• Ability to plan menus, manage food preparation, and maintain consistent quality standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to supervise and support kitchen staff.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• A professional attitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality food.

Job Type: Permanent/Full-time
Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum
