About the Role

Esteban Restaurant is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Trade Waiter to support its front-of-house operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering exceptional table service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to a seamless and engaging dining experience.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional and attentive table service to ensure a high-quality customer experience;
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, offering menu recommendations where appropriate;
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with RSA requirements;
• Set up and clear tables, ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently maintained;
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders;
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner;
• Process payments using POS systems and manage cash handling procedures;
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods;
• Assist in maintaining stock levels of service items and reporting shortages as required;
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times;
• Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues during busy service periods.

About You

• At least 1–2 years of relevant experience as a Waiter or in a similar hospitality role;
• Strong customer service skills with a professional and friendly manner;
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage service, including alcohol service requirements;
• Experience using POS systems;
• Valid RSA certification (required);
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Position: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per year
