River Haus Investments Pty Ltd, trading as The Ridge, operates a restaurant in Noosa, Queensland, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner services, with a focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The restaurant also caters for private functions, weddings and corporate events.
The restaurant is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Chef for a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting a range of dishes, contributing to menu planning, coordinating kitchen activities and maintaining consistent standards of food quality, presentation and safety across the restaurant's dining services and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and organising food preparation and cooking activities.
• Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of dishes in accordance with established recipes and menu requirements.
• Monitoring food quality, freshness, portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Contributing to menu planning and developing dishes using seasonal ingredients.
• Preparing and coordinating food requirements for restaurant dining services and private functions.
• Monitoring ingredient usage, stock levels and food wastage.
• Coordinating the ordering, receiving and appropriate storage of ingredients.
• Organising kitchen activities to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
• Providing guidance to kitchen staff on food preparation and cooking procedures.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

About You

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Chef or in a similar commercial kitchen role.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Experience preparing and presenting a range of dishes in a professional restaurant environment.
• Ability to maintain consistent food quality, portioning and presentation standards.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication, coordination and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy restaurant services and events.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and hygiene standards.
