La Panchina is an Italian restaurant in Surry Hills with a menu focused on pizza and Italian starters. We are looking for a Cook who can prepare dishes consistently and help the kitchen deliver an efficient service.

The right applicant will be responsible for:

• Prepare ingredients and complete kitchen preparation before each service.
• Prepare and cook pizzas, starters and other menu items according to the restaurant’s recipes.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure consistent results.
• Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
• Follow portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Coordinate orders with other kitchen staff during busy services.
• Assist with receiving, storing and rotating food supplies.
• Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures.

About you:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Cook;
• Experience preparing pizza and Italian dishes would be highly regarded;
• Ability to work efficiently during busy services;
• Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene;
• Strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 per year
