The business is currently seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to join its kitchen team and contribute to the preparation and consistent delivery of quality meals.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
• Planning and organising food preparation and cooking activities to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items, including pub-style meals and pizzas.
• Monitoring the quality, freshness and suitability of ingredients and finished dishes.
• Contributing to menu planning and food preparation requirements.
• Managing portion sizes and ingredient usage to maintain consistency and minimise food waste.
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with the ordering, receiving and appropriate storage of food and kitchen supplies.
• Coordinating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and consistent food preparation during service.
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and ensuring equipment and utensils are properly maintained.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

About You

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Chef.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and commercial kitchen operations.
• Experience preparing and cooking a range of meals in a professional hospitality environment.
• Ability to consistently produce quality dishes while maintaining portioning and presentation standards.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
