Pizzeria Adamo is a family-owned Italian restaurant in Geelong, specialising in authentic pizzas and pasta made with quality local and imported ingredients.
  
Pizzeria Adamo is looking for an experienced Chef to join their team.
  
The right candidate will be responsible for:

• Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of Italian dishes, in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
• Planning and organising food preparation and cooking activities to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service periods.
• Monitoring the quality, freshness and suitability of ingredients and finished dishes throughout preparation, cooking and service.
• Assisting with menu planning and the development of seasonal dishes and specials while maintaining the restaurant’s Italian culinary style.
• Managing portion sizes, food preparation requirements and ingredient usage to maintain consistency and minimise food wastage.
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with the ordering, receiving, rotation and appropriate storage of food and kitchen supplies.
• Coordinating with other kitchen staff to ensure dishes are prepared accurately and delivered in a timely manner during busy service periods.
• Providing guidance and training to kitchen staff on food preparation, cooking methods, presentation standards and kitchen procedures.
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and ensuring food preparation areas, equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation and workplace health and safety requirements at all times.  

About you:

• At least one year of relevant experience as a Chef;
• Strong knowledge of Italian food preparation, cooking techniques and commercial kitchen operations.
• Ability to consistently produce high-quality dishes while maintaining established standards of flavour, portioning and presentation.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and perform efficiently during busy service periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to coordinate effectively with other kitchen staff.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitation and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently when required while contributing effectively to the overall operation of the kitchen team.  

Job Type: Permanent/Full-time
Salary: $79,000 - $84,000 per annum
