Hurricane's Grill & Bar Cronulla Beach is now looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join their team.
  
The right candidate will be responsible for:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient service delivery.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate front-of-house staff to maintain the restaurant's high standards of hospitality and professionalism.
• Recruit, train, roster, and manage staff performance to ensure adequate staffing levels and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate restaurant operations with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages.
• Monitor service quality, resolve customer enquiries and complaints promptly, and maintain a positive guest experience.
• Manage reservations, large group bookings, private dining events, and special functions.
• Monitor inventory levels and oversee the ordering of beverages, restaurant supplies, and operational equipment.
• Control labour costs, operating expenses, and stock usage while supporting revenue and profitability targets.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, workplace health and safety, and company policies.
• Prepare staff rosters, oversee opening and closing procedures, and manage daily cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Monitor restaurant presentation, cleanliness, and maintenance to ensure a welcoming and professional environment.
• Work closely with senior management to implement promotional activities, seasonal initiatives, and continuous operational improvements.  

About you:

• At least 1 year of experience as a Restaurant Manager;
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations within a premium casual dining or steakhouse environment.
• Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
• Ability to manage high-volume service while maintaining exceptional operational standards.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, liquor licensing, workplace health and safety, and hospitality compliance requirements.
• Experience with staff rostering, labour cost control, inventory management, and budget monitoring.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively between front-of-house, kitchen, and management teams.
• Proficiency in restaurant POS systems, reservations platforms, and daily financial reporting.
• Ability to build strong customer relationships while maintaining a professional, positive, and service-focused culture.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent;
Salary: $79,000 - $88,000;
