Abhi’s Bread is a Western Australian artisan bakery and cafébased in O'Connor WA 6163, known for its handcrafted organic sourdough breads, pastries, and wholesale bakery supply. Founded in 1994, the business began with a single baker delivering sourdough by bicycle and has since grown into a well-known local bakery brand while maintaining traditional baking methods
  
Abhi’s Bread is now looking for a Baker to join their team.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries and baked goods in accordance with production schedules and customer requirements
• Mixing, shaping, proofing and baking doughs while ensuring consistency in quality, texture and presentation
• Monitoring the quality of baked products at all stages of preparation, baking and finishing
• Demonstrating baking techniques and advising team members on baking procedures where required
• Storing ingredients and baked products in temperature-controlled environments and ensuring proper stock rotation
• Assisting with estimating ingredient usage and production requirements while minimising wastage
• Maintaining bakery cleanliness and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
• Inspecting ingredients, baking equipment and work areas to ensure quality and operational standards are maintained
• Assisting with ordering and monitoring stock levels of baking ingredients, packaging and bakery supplies

About you:
  

• At least 1 year of relevant experience working as a Baker
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation and bakery operations
• Understanding of food safety standards, hygiene practices and workplace health and safety procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and presentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job type: Permanent/full-time
Salary: $76,000 - $82,000
