YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:
This is a role for a PM who actually cares. A smaller but growing builder with a strong reputation for quality commercial delivery is looking for a Project Manager who takes ownership from day one, knows their numbers, and brings the kind of energy that lifts a whole project team.
You will be working across a varied portfolio of commercial construction, commercial interiors, and fitout projects up to $10M. The business is growing, the culture is strong, and there is real runway here for someone who wants to make their mark rather than just fill a seat.
You will have direct access to the Managing Director, genuine input into how projects are run, and the autonomy to get on with the job.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? - Leading projects from initial planning through to successful handover, across commercial new build and fitout
- Managing project budgets, cost control, variations, and subcontractor commitments with rigour and commercial discipline
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining proactive and transparent communication at every stage
- Coordinating subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to keep programmes on track and budgets in check
- Identifying risks early and solving problems before they become issues
- Upholding quality, safety, and compliance standards across all sites
- Contributing to a high-performance team culture built around accountability, care, and continuous improvement
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? - 4 to 10 years of project management experience within commercial construction, ideally with a Tier 2 or Tier 3 builder
- A proven track record delivering commercial projects up to $10M across both new build and fitout
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to manage a budget with confidence and precision
- Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to manage clients, consultants, and trades professionally
- Autonomous and solutions-focused, someone who takes ownership and follows through
- Genuine pride in the quality of their work and the outcomes they deliver
- Formal qualifications in Construction Management or equivalent industry experience
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Buildertrend, SiteBook, or similar platforms
ARE YOU A FIT?To be considered successful, you will have experience with supervising commercial construction projects for commercial builders out of the ground to completion or for fit outs and refurbishments within Australia. You will formal qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related
field, or a trade background and good relationships with subcontractors. You will have great programming skills, leadership abilities and be autonomous and great at communicating across various stakeholders.
