Renowned SA Retail business is looking to hire a permanent HR Operations & Compliance Officer to provide hands-on HR support and compliance management across all sites, ensuring award compliance, fair work obligations, and people processes are executed consistently.
  
You will be responsible for managing all day-to-day HR operations, ensuring the business remains compliant with workplace laws, awards, and enterprise agreements. This role is highly operational and hands-on, supporting managers and stores with practical HR guidance, resolving people issues, handling compliance obligations, and maintaining robust HR processes.
  
This role is not strategic HR or organisational design-focused – it is operational, practical, and compliance-driven.

Key Capabilities & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in operational HR roles.
• Strong understanding of Modern Awards, especially the GRIA, and EBA interpretation.
• Proven experience in employee relations, investigations, and compliance-based HR.
• Strong written documentation skills for letters, reports, and case summaries.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload, and support a large, fast-paced workforce.
• Confident in working with payroll, managers, and executives.
• High-level professionalism, confidentiality, and ethics.
