YOUR NEXT ROLE:
As a Project Engineer, you will help deliver landmark Education projects in Canberra, taking responsibility for the delivery of multiple trade packages from planning through to completion. Supporting the Project Manager, you'll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and manage scopes of works and procure trade packages.
- Oversee subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring performance against programme, budget, and quality targets.
- Develop and maintain construction programmes to drive timely project delivery.
- Support the procurement strategy to source materials efficiently, cost-effectively, and to specification.
- Apply value engineering principles to maximise efficiency and achieve cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with project objectives across time, cost, customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and environment.
ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT: You are an experienced
Project Engineer with proven capability on large commercial building projects within Australia and a strong interest in education sector builds. You bring a well-rounded mix of technical and commercial skills, along with the ability to lead, collaborate, and drive performance across multiple stakeholders.
Requirements: - Ideally, experience working on Educational builds.
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer on large-scale building projects.
- Proven ability to prepare scopes of works and procure trade packages.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
- Experience managing projects with a high focus on safety, quality, and environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in construction, engineering, or a related field.
